Pierre Schoeman attended Afrikaanse Hoër Seunskool (Affies) in Pretoria, a school known for its strong rugby tradition. His powerful presence on the field and natural strength were evident from an early age, making him a key player in his school team.

Schoeman represented the Blue Bulls at various youth levels, including the Under-18 Craven Week. His performances in the youth leagues earned him a place in the Blue Bulls' academy, where he continued to develop his game.
