Junaide Stuart, hailing from Struisbaai, a small coastal town in the Overberg region, Junaide attended Hoërskool Garsfontein, a prominent rugby school known for talent. At Garsfontein, Stuart developed into a dynamic wing, recognized for his speed, agility, and try-scoring ability, establishing himself as a standout in schoolboy rugby.

Stuart emerged as a key player for the Vodacom Bulls at the U18 Craven Week in 2024 and 2025, held at Hoërskool Monument in Krugersdorp and Hoërskool Middelburg in Mpumalanga, respectively. His electric pace and flair on the wing earned him selection for the SA Schools team in both years, as noted by SA Rugby. In 2025, Stuart started at right wing (No. 14) for the SA Schools squad in their annual match against the SA Schools ‘A’ team on July 17, 2025, in Middelburg, contributing to a 49–14 victory with his try-scoring prowess.

In August 2025, Stuart represented the SA U18 team in the U18 International Series at venues in Paarl and Cape Town, playing against France, Ireland, and England. He was a replacement player in the SA U18 squad that faced France on August 8, 2025, at Hoërskool Durbanville, contributing to a 43–21 victory that secured the Medhi Narjissi Trophy. Stuart also featured in the 45–5 win over Ireland on August 12, 2025, at Boland Landbou, where his speed and finishing were highlighted by SuperSport Schools. His performances underscored his potential as a versatile and dangerous outside back.

Stuart’s schoolboy career at Garsfontein included notable performances against top schools like Affies and Menlopark, with viral highlights circulating on platforms like SuperSport Schools showcasing his ability to beat defenders and score spectacular tries. NextGenXV identified him as one of South Africa’s top schoolboy prospects in 2025, noting his “electric” running and defensive work rate.

At 18, Junaide Stuart is a prime candidate for the Junior Springboks (SA U20) in 2026, with his performances positioning him for a professional contract with the Vodacom Bulls in the United Rugby Championship (URC). His speed and versatility as a wing draw comparisons to Springboks like Kurt-Lee Arendse, a fellow Blue Bulls product. Continued development in the Bulls’ junior system, under their top coaches, could see Stuart transition to senior rugby by 2027. His trajectory suggests potential for a future Springbok call-up, particularly given South Africa’s depth in outside backs.
